“Individual climate leadership matters – that is why I fully support Oxford University’s new Climate Leadership Research Centre in its aim to champion established and emerging climate leaders as they seek to lead by example.”

What is Climate Leadership?
Climate Leadership is using one’s platform, position, and sphere of influence to accelerate meaningful climate action — through personal example, public advocacy, and the mobilisation of others.
Climate leaders are individuals who go beyond their baseline responsibilities to make climate a visible priority, model the behaviours and decisions they ask of others, and leverage their credibility and reach to shift norms, policies, or practices in their communities, industries, or institutions.
“We need a billion bad environmentalists, not a small group of perfect environmentalists. A billion bad environmentalists would solve everything. A small group of perfect people have never fixed anything.”
