David Shukman was the BBC’s first Science Editor and led its coverage of the environment for nearly twenty years. With pioneering reports from the Amazon to Antarctica, he’s been praised by Sir David Attenborough as “a leader in raising awareness about the climate emergency”. His book, The Response: A Story of Fire and Flood in Britain’s New World of Extremes, has just been published. Now working as a speaker and consultant, David is a Visiting Professor in Practice at the LSE’s Grantham Research Institute and an adviser to Oxford University’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.
